What is your business?

We develop high-quality CBD products designed to help people and their pets manage pain, inflammation, stress, and anxiety.

What inspired you to develop your idea?

After spending 35 years in the traditional pharmaceutical industry, I wanted to find a more natural way to help people with their health concerns. My interest in CBD began when I saw firsthand how it helped my son’s dog with hip pain and anxiety. This experience inspired me to explore the benefits of CBD further. The more I learned, the more excited I became to be part of an industry that provides natural alternatives for pain, inflammation, anxiety, and sleep.

This business has been a great fit for our family because each of us brings valuable experience to the company. It’s incredibly rewarding to run a business that not only supports our community but also allows us to work together as a family.

How have your priorities changed since you first started?

We initially opened a retail store in downtown Granville, which helped introduce many people to the benefits of CBD. However, we soon realized that our online business was growing rapidly, with customers appreciating the ability to order from our website, receive discounts, and enjoy free shipping.

While our three years with a storefront were invaluable for educating the public, shifting our focus to e-commerce made the most sense. We understand that people still have questions about CBD, so we continue to provide support through our phone line, ensuring customers receive the guidance they need.

What is unique about your business?

CBD is now widely available in smoke shops and gas stations, but our products stand apart in several key ways. All of our CBD is grown and processed in the USA, and we use a method called Super Critical CO2 Extraction, which is considered the cleanest and most effective way to extract CBD.

Additionally, we take a science-driven approach to formulation, working with a team of experts to develop proprietary blends that maximize CBD’s benefits. Roughly one-third of our customers come to us through referrals from healthcare providers, a testament to the trust and quality we’ve built. We proudly serve customers across the United States, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean from our base in Granville.

How do you define success?

For us, success is measured by the number of people we help. Hearing stories from individuals who have struggled with pain, inflammation, stress, or sleep issues—sometimes for decades—and learning how our products have improved their quality of life is truly priceless.

Our greatest reward comes from knowing that we’re making a positive impact, helping people overcome health challenges, and empowering them to live life to the fullest.

CBD Health Collection was formed with a clear vision; to bring a total optimal health approach in developing and researching the highest quality CBD products available for people and their pets at a fair price.

One of our founding partners, Rick, has worked in the traditional pharmaceutical industry for over 35 years. While he sees pharmaceuticals have their place in the marketplace, he is also very aware of all of the potential side effects that come along with traditional medicine. This led Rick to look at other forms of health products for his own use, which enabled him to discover the tremendous health-supporting benefits of CBD.

In September of 2017, Rick partnered with his daughter, Ashley, and son, Jon to form CBD Health Collection. Ashley is a 2 time All-American and Female Athlete of the Year (2015) at The Ohio State University and was working in the healthcare industry with a focus on payers/insurance. Jon has extensive experience with the CO2 processing of hemp and knowledge of the various components in the hemp plant. Ashley began using CBD to help with the temporary muscle pain while training for long-distance triathlons. Jon used CBD to help his 4-legged best friend, Gonzo to help with her joint mobility and soon she was back to moving around like her old self. Rick, Ashley, and Jon became very passionate about bringing this exciting product to others.

After 1 ½ year of research and learning, we have put together a strong team to develop and deliver the highest quality CBD (and other cannabinoids such as CBG and CBN) products. We are proud that CBD Health Collection’s all-natural CBD products contain pure, non-psychoactive cannabinoids, and all of our products are extracted from organically grown USA hemp. We pride ourselves that our CBD oil is highly potent and tested by independent third-party laboratories for purity and safety and all products are produced in a GMP and FDA-registered facility.
