What is your business?

We are in the business of developing high quality CBD products to help people and their pets suffering from pain and inflammation or dealing with stress and anxiety.

What inspired you to develop your idea?

After 35 years in the traditional pharmaceutical industry I was looking for a way to help patients deal with their health issues using a more natural approach. I saw how CBD helped my son’s dog with hip pain and anxiety… I was intrigued to learn more. The more that I studied CBD the more excited I became to get involved. CBD is a great natural tool that our customers use for pain and inflammation or anxiety and sleep.

This business worked well because my wife, son and daughter each have background experiences that are valuable to our business. It is great to have a business that helps the community and enables me to work with my family.

How have your priorities changed since you first started?

We started out in a retail space in downtown Granville, however, we found that our online business was growing exponentially and that many customers liked the fact that they could order from our website and receive a discount on their purchase and free shipping.

While our 3 years with a storefront were incredibly valuable in exposing the general population to the benefits of CBD, having an online business seemed to make sense, however, we know that people may have questions about CBD. We have retained our phone number and continue to answer questions from those who want to learn more.

What is unique about your business?

CBD is now sold in most smoke shops and gas stations, however, our products are very different. All of our CBD is grown and processed in the USA and the CBD is extracted from the plant using a process called “Super Critical CO2” — which is considered to be the cleanest method of extraction. Very few CBD companies have a Medical Director, we have Dr. Eric Serrano, a world-renowned supplement expert. All of our CBD products are made using our own, proprietary formulation developed in cooperation with our Dr. Serrano, and our team of scientists. Approximately 1/3 of our patients come to us as a referral from their Health Care Provider and we supply our CBD products to customers in the United States, Europe, South America and the Caribbean Islands from our Granville based business.

How do you define success?

For us, success is defined by the number of people that we help. Hearing their stories of how they have had to deal with pain/inflammation or stress/sleep issues, in many cases for decades, and how CBD has allowed them to lead a more normal life – for us that is absolutely priceless and personally rewarding.

Our lives are enriched by helping others overcome their health challenges and to live life to the fullest.

CBD Health Collection was formed with a clear vision; to bring a total optimal health approach in developing and researching the highest quality CBD products available for people and their pets at a fair price.

One of our founding partners, Rick, has worked in the traditional pharmaceutical industry for over 35 years. While he sees pharmaceuticals have their place in the marketplace, he is also very aware of all of the potential side effects that come along with traditional medicine. This led Rick to look at other forms of health products for his own use, which enabled him to discover the tremendous health-supporting benefits of CBD.

In September of 2017, Rick partnered with his daughter, Ashley, and son, Jon to form CBD Health Collection. Ashley is a 2 time All-American and Female Athlete of the Year (2015) at The Ohio State University and was working in the healthcare industry with a focus on payers/insurance. Jon has extensive experience with the CO2 processing of hemp and knowledge of the various components in the hemp plant. Ashley began using CBD to help with the temporary muscle pain while training for long-distance triathlons. Jon used CBD to help his 4-legged best friend, Gonzo to help with her joint mobility and soon she was back to moving around like her old self. Rick, Ashley, and Jon became very passionate about bringing this exciting product to others.

After 1 ½ year of research and learning, we have put together a strong team to develop and deliver the highest quality CBD (and other cannabinoids such as CBG and CBN) products. We are proud that CBD Health Collection’s all-natural CBD products contain pure, non-psychoactive cannabinoids, and all of our products are extracted from organically grown USA hemp. We pride ourselves that our CBD oil is highly potent and tested by independent third-party laboratories for purity and safety and all products are produced in a GMP and FDA-registered facility.
